2D Art Camp

Drawing, painting, collage work, and more! Your child will learn about several different elements of art, famous artists who used that technique, and practice the skills they learn.

2D Art Camp 2: June 19-23, 2017

Art camp will be held from 9:00-12:00 Monday through Friday, with a ceremony to view the art gallery for parents/loved ones at 12:00 on Friday. This class costs $100 per child and includes all art materials and the summer series t-shirt.

3D Art Camp

Pottery - CLASS HAS BEEN FILLED

In this four-day workshop, your child will create a different piece of pottery each day for a total of 4 pieces for the week. All pieces will be fired and available for pickup at a later date. 

June 5-8, 5:00-6:30 p.m. 

Ages: Must be at least 6 years old, 
Limit of four children

Basic Acting Classes

In this five-week, ten-session workshop, students grades 5 through 8 will learn the basics of acting. The classes will culminate with the children presenting a scene to showcase for parents/loved ones.

Mondays & Wednesdays starting the week of June 5 through the week of July 10 (except the week of July 4th), 10:00-11:00 a.m. (1 hour sessions)

Advanced Acting Classes

In this five-week, ten-session workshop, high school age students will learn advanced acting techniques. The classes will culminate with a monologue showcase for parents/loved ones.

Tuesday & Thursdays starting the week of June 5 through the week of July 10 (except the week of July 4th), 10:00-11:30 p.m. (1.5 hour sessions)

Cake Decorating  

Ages 7-9: June 13, 10:00-11:00 a.m. - Monster Cupcakes
Your child will bring cupcakes to life by creating his or her own buttercream monsters. Whether they are hairy and scary, or cute and cuddly, these monsters will be good enough to eat!

Ages 10-12: June 15, 10:00-11:00 a.m. - Animal Print Cookies
Students will learn a few basic cake decorating techniques to achieve a variety of cheetah, giraffe and zebra prints. Who says you can’t wear cheetah print and eat it too?

Basket Weaving (Ages 6 through 12)

In this two-day session, your child will make their own basket while learning the weaving technique. 

June 27 & 29, 5:00-7:00 p.m. (must attend both dates to finish basket)

Wanderlust Jr.

In this one-week session, your child will learn about multiple cultures and travel destinations through dance, games, and crafts. 

July 10-14, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with a reception for parents to follow the class on Friday.

Ages: 8-11 years old, Limit of eight children

Children need to bring a water bottle each day as this class includes a lot of dancing and physical activity.

Sketching Camp

Your child will spend 4 days learning techniques and sketching animals at Lee Academy. On the fifth day, the group will take a field trip to Safari Park to sketch the animals there.

July 10-13, 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Lee Academy; July 14, Field trip  Safari Park in Alamo
Limit: 15 students

Writing Camp

In this one-week session, your child will write and illustrate their own book which will then be published through Studentreasures Publishing

July 17-21, 9:00-12:00 Monday through Friday. A reception for parents will be scheduled after the books are published.
