Hand lettering is a popular new trend in modern calligraphy. Hand lettering uses basic thin and thick strokes to create beautiful word art. Though you can buy special pens (that get very pricey) for hand lettering, many artists agree that the basic crayola markers are one of the best lettering tools available.

 

Introduction to Hand Lettering
In this class, participants will learn "fauxligraphy" which can be done with a regular pencil or pen and the strokes to begin hand lettering with crayola markers.

Instructor Biography
Emily Rhoads was born and raised in Henry County, graduated from HCHS in 2005, and now resides in Clarksville with her husband and son where she is a team leader for a pregnancy prevention grant. Emily started hand lettering in January of 2017 as a way to help calm her mind and ease anxiety.
