Designing and Making your own Stamps

Explore decorative patterns and transfer images
as you design and carve stamps to use in
mixed media artwork. All supplies included.


Creating Collage Papers

Experiment with new ways to paint, layer
and stamp papers to use in mixed media projects.

CREATIVE WRITING

The Academy again welcomes Michael Freeland
author of Blood River to Berlin, as Guest Artist
Mr. Freeland will teach an adult (age 15 and older)
Creative Writing class  beginning January 14
5 week sessions on Thursday evenings from 3 to 5 pm.
Fee is $95 and includes a copy of Blood River to Berlin

All types of writing, whatever your interest, will be included.
The value of regular journal writing will be emphasized.
Remember, "Everyone has a story to tell."

Learn to "speak for success."
Michael Freeland, an experienced teacher of
all kinds of public speaking, offers a 4 week class
Jan. 14, on Thursday evenings from 5 pm to 7 pm. Fee is $99.
Experience the difference confidence in public speaking makes.

CERAMICS

Classes begin January 12, 2010.
Each class lasts 6 weeks with a fee of $125
including materials needed for the class.
Teachers are also available at other times
and classes will be added to the initial offerings.
Maximum class size is 4 students.

The Studio is open daily for use by artists and independent students.
A fee schedule is posted, and you are welcome.
Studio times are subject to space availability.

Learn the notes on the treble clef, time signatures, and rhythmic values of notes

Recognize tempo and dynamic markings and apply to interpretation of song


Learn proper breathing technique for singing

Ear training and diction- singing on pitch, intonation, unification of vocal registers and correct vowel formations


Learn the fundamentals of singing beautifully and freely in any musical style

Preparing songs for performance
